It’s hard to answer this question, because every situation is unique. There are not any two accounts that are identical. Each account warrants its own treatment plan, with varying types of pesticides, varying intervals of time between treatments, and different types of treatment methods.
Now, that being said, let me try to actually answer the question. We almost always recommend to new customers that they let us treat both, the inside and outside of the home, on our first initial treatment. That way we can do a good cleanout of whatever might be there, and can establish a good barrier. After we get the account under control, and the customer is not having any pest issues, we recommend that the customer have us treat just the outside perimeter of the home…that way we are not putting unnecessary chemicals into the home. Once the account is under control, doing a good, solid treatment around the outside perimeter should be sufficient to keep most bugs at bay, especially since the outside is where most of the bugs originate.
