One of the best ways to find out if a home has a bug problem is by strategically placing some glue boards. Initially, glue boards should be placed throughout the house. They should be placed up against the wall, and left for a period of time. We often place glue boards when servicing a customer’s home, and check them when we are back out there the following quarter. The glue boards are not really intended to catch all of the pests in the home, but rather as a monitor to determine the level of infestation that you are dealing with, as well as the specific pests that we are dealing with. Knowing what kind, and how much, helps us formulate a more effective treatment plan.
Glue boards can be purchased online, in local hardware stores, or stores such as Home Depot or Wal-Mart. Glue boards can be purchased in a large variety of sizes. We have tiny glue boards that are intended to catch insects, all the way up to large glue boards designed to catch adult sized snakes.
